Can Takeo be cooler than normal?
Warning: Spoilers ahead!
As Suna and Takeo walks to meet with Yamato, a couple of Karate wannabes emerges and disrupts their romantic sequence (minus Suna in the sequence of course).
It seems that the karate wannabes are from their highschool Judo club and they wanted to ask Takeo for help in winning a battle with their fierce rival — Bianka HS. Ok, whoever named that school is weird.
Since the explanation was so long, Takeo started to phase out but got the gist of the problem they are facing. However, Suna mentioned that because of agreeing with them, his after school time will be dedicated in training and will not see his girlfriend for a month, until the battle is complete.
Yamato was completely fine with it as she wants to cheer him head on. With her blessing, Takeo started training with all his strength.
After a grueling training, Takeo saw Yamato waiting on his way home. She admitted that she peeked at his training and was amazed on how cool he was. Despite the praises, Takeo was worried that she might get in trouble for waiting for him in the dark and with prowling bad men around — as advertised on the streets as a warning.
Because of this, Yamato was confused as to why Takeo suddenly asked her not to wait for him, without explanations. After that time, they only conversed using their phones as Takeo is busy in training.
After a while, Suna was disturbed by Yamato giving him a couple of bags of scones. It seems that when she was worried about her boyfriend, she ends up baking so much. After saying her problems to Suna, he gave her an advise of not over thinking about what had happened. With renewed will, Yamato was happy enough to just leave the scones and will wait for the tournament.
At the tournament, Yamato and Suna arrived and Takeo asked them to sit at the front so that they, especially Yamato, can see the fight. One of the competitors, Tsuyoshi in Bianka HS greeted him and was surprised that Takeo is not taking Judo as seriously as him.
The tournament commences with having tie scores between schools and it is up to the fight between Takeo and Tsuyoshi to decide the winner. Let’s just say the fight between the aces of the HS are awesome but Takeo is the winner, of course. 🙂
After the fight, Yamato was all praises on how Takeo did in the tournament. Yamato was so excited about everything and how cool her boyfriend is, that she almost passed out because of it.
I love this episode! This solidify the fact that Yamato is really in love with Takeo and is understanding about situations that really matter. Suna might be part of the love triangle but in reality, he is the bridge that fills the gaps in their relationship — like a couples therapist who wants his friend to be happy.
