So Hot. It’s like Fire… I can’t look away…
Warning: Spoilers ahead!
The fight is still on but Hak is weakening because of the poison on the arrow that struck him. As Hak make his way to where the princess is, he stumbled was forced into a corner of a steep cliff. As he was struck by another soldier, he looses his footing but was able to hang on the cliff.
As Tae-jun urges his soldiers to kill Hak, Yona was filled with determination to save the only person that cares for her and is a remembrance of her father. She then runs towards Hak, only to be caught by Tae-jun by grabbing her hair. In anger, Yona retaliated by grabbing Tae-jun’s sword and swing it towards him, and cut her long red hair.
As Yona help Hak, she also lost her footing as the soldiers are approaching them. They both fall in the ravine below and Tae-jun wanted to jump to them, he was stopped by his soldiers saying that nobody can survive the fall. Of course, there won’t be a story if the main protagonists dies, so…
Heavy-hearted and shocked to the core, Tae-jun decided to go to the Castle and inform Soo-Woon that Yona and Hak are dead. It was here that I saw Tae-jun really loved Yona, that he wanted some sort of punishment as he let Yona die in front of his eyes. It was his upbringing and selfishness that kept him away from Yona’s good graces, plus the fact that he can’t really take ‘NO’ for an answer.
As Soo-Woon holds the lock of hair of Yona, he then reminiscense the days where Yona, Hak and him were children with no worries in the world. I’m sorry, I had to say this: Soo-Woon had no right to reminicense as he should have accepted the consequences of his actions and whatever his reasons was, the end doesn’t justify the means, you A**!
Soo-Woon’s coronation went off without a hitch. Still hate him though.:P
Meanwhile, in another side of the kingdom, Yona dreamt of the coronation and was awoken by being fed by a boy named Yun, who by all means, described himself as a handsome boy (bishounen). LOL. And by stroke of luck, Yun lives with priest that they were looking for, Ik-su.
This episode is really symbolic especially when Yona had chosen Hak over her red locks. She is then is ready to let go of being this innocent princess, and be an independent person who can fight for people that she cares about. It also means that she is willing to let go of her love of Soo-Woon and focus on becoming stronger. Them “dying” is also a good cover-up so that they can go to this journey without a lot of people looking for them.
What are they looking for, I wonder? Does this tie up to the people that were with them on the previous episodes? What will the priest say about their future? Gah, still have lots of questions.
